TSCM (Technical Surveillance Counter Measures)

We locate hidden listening, video, and tracking devices in commercial businesses, offices and personal dwellings. Only a "well trained & experienced TSCM Agent" knows how to properly conduct this type of work. Experience is the key factor in this area of technical investigations. I received my extensive training and experience locating and Installing these devices while working in-depth narcotic investigations with the (DEA). I now offer my expertise as a Private Investigator. It isn't about expensive equipment, which many Private Investigators use to "impress" the unknowing client, so they can charge a small fortune. Unfortunately, unless the investigator got his experience while working in a branch of the Military or Law Enforcement that dealt with in-depth criminal investigations, there is no way a private investigator can know correctly what he/she is doing.

What really matters is experience. Actually knowing where to look, and knowing what you are looking for, is the key. That is what makes all the difference. I have found that most private investigators claiming to be able to perform a proper "search" for listening devices have NEVER even seen a real listening device, except a voice activated tape recorder from Radio Shack. Since the general population cannot afford to fly to Asia and spend five or ten thousand dollars for the right equipment, what is found is from Radio Shack. It does work quite well if put in the right location. Unless the private investigator came from law enforcement where they worked in details such as narcotics and intelligence, how could they have received the proper experience? I obtained all my experience concerning TSCM from working and training with the DEA and FBI over years. My favorite was putting the unit called a "Body Bug" in a jail cell or in the back of a police car and then putting two suspects together in the back of a radio car right after they had just robbed or killed someone. They would talk(confess) and we would have it all on tape. Perfectly legal as there is no expectation of privacy in a jail cell or in a police car. So why won't S.F.P.D. do any of the aforementioned? When I was in the department, I did it, and I got convictions. However, I was often told by my superiors to stop. I heard that San Francisco is a wide open town, and no one goes to jail except law enforcement officers doing their job.
